Heal & Prevent
From professional and amateur athletes to exercise enthusiasts and rehabilitation clients, MAT helps prepare the body for optimal motion. Life Activated.
Human movement is fundamental to human health. Conversely, that muscle’s health as demonstrated by its ability to contract efficiently is important for normal movement. Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT), is a specific and unique process for evaluating an individual’s ability to develop efficient muscle contraction. Any loss of a muscles ability to contract efficiently may be experienced through a loss of motion and decreased physical performance. This loss may be qualified through subjective complaints and/or the loss of physical capabilities.
A MAT Rx Certified Specialist (MAT Rx) is the highest level trained and certified to perform a variety of force application techniques to the body. When, through testing, it has been determined that a muscle has lost its efficient contractile ability, a MAT Rx Practioner applies precise techniques to restore that muscle’s efficiency.
Conditions that can be improved by MAT: (Muscle Activation Techniques)
Back pain
Knee pain
Foot problems/ankle sprain
Patellofemoral syndrome
Neck stiffness
Shoulder pain
Rotator cuff pain
Sciatic pain
Plantar fasciitis
Tendonitis/carpal tunnel
Herniated disc/ruptured disc
Cervical/TMJ
Tight hamstring
